FAERIE SRAPBOOK COVER
This georgous scrapbook cover, created by Art
Institute Glitter, Inc., artist Barbara Trombley, shows how you can turn a stamped image into a work of art.
First Barbara stamped the image onto white cardstock and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then she colored in the image with brush markers leaving white areas as highlights.
Next she applied Designer Dries Clear adhesive with the ultra-fine metal tip to flowers, leaves and wings then sprinkled with crystal glitter. Then she applied light transparent glitter colors to hair, crown and dress trim, leaving face and skin free of glitter.
Then she stamped leaf designs surrounding faerie and on edges of green cardstock with plum and green ink pads sprinkled with clear embossing powder mixed with white glitter and heat cured. And she applied glue and green glitter to leaf veins and edges.
After pages dried she rounded all the corners with a corner punch and glued faerie panel to green cardstock then weighted down with a book until dry.
For a special touch she made a glitter rope around the white and green cardstock by applying sticky tape along the edges and covered with green glitter. Then she applied glue and green glitter ontop of glittered tape and around the corners to create a dimensional effect. When dry, she glued to scrapbook cover and weighted down with books.
