The purple flower bowl is made from silk cap with fantasy fibres 'fairy wings' incorporated after ironing into the petals. The whole bowl has then been stitched.

The leaves are made from a second silk cap this time using ironed fantasy film 'In the Forest' which has first been cut into leaf shapes then stitched. Once the cold water soluble was washed away I dried the bowl using a hair dryer which changed the appearance of the fantasy film.
The  body of the beetle was formed by putting a layer of fantasy film under a layer of black organza over a felt shape. He looks gorgeous.
